Jockey is currently looking for a Technical Designer / Patternmaker to join their Product Development team in

comfort, and design. The Technical Designer / Patternmaker will provide technical expertise and pattern making for designated Jockey underwear product categories and will collaborate on the technical garment development for seasonal collections.

Scope And Responsibilities:
+ Collaborate with the Design, Materials and Product Development teams on the development of designated garment collections.
+ Lead fit session on live models and determine necessary fit adjustments to achieve desired base fit of garments.
+ Collaborate with Designers on fit direction and drive fit standards across the business.
+ Compile, analyze, and input information into PLM system to deliver a comprehensive Tech Pack for a maker which includes accurate measurement charts, sewing construction specifications, and sample requests.
+ Create base size and graded patterns, using established blocks and specifications on new style developments as requested.
+ Apply established grade rules for styles.
+ Create pattern revisions via Gerber Accumark system based on fit expectations.
+ Ensure consistency of fit on garments for new developments across all Jockey collections.
+ Build relationships with makers to understand and support their technical capabilities.
+ Ensure timelines are met for all samples milestones.
+ Conduct weartests based on current process to ensure the garment wear-ability and fit of graded sizes.
+ Prepare Tech packs in collaboration with Product Development and be the technical link between the maker and the Designer.
+ Analyze and evaluate garments for construction, quality, and concise measurements. Electronically record data into PLM system.
+ Ensure Jockey fit and quality standards are established and communicated to Merchandising, Design, Sourcing, and QC for all products.
+ Partner with the Materials team to understand fabric and trim properties and timelines for new development garments.
+ Organize and maintain all fit model requirements, fit session content, results and fit photo library to document fit history.
+ Compile analysis documents of fit, measurements, and construction comments to makers through Adobe Illustrator and PLM system.
+ Create and compile garment research data and competitive analysis projects to support seasonal garment development.
+ Collaborate within tech team and operations to understand most efficient construction methods.
+ Travel overseas and to local vendors as necessary or as applicable. Approximately 5% to 10% of the time.
+ Maintain organized archive of data in the Jockey Kenosha office including fit approved garments, weartest results, graded garments and production patterns of all styles.

Candidate Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Technical Design, Product Development and Patterning.
+ Minimum 5 years of proven applied experience of pattern making, grading, and construction.
+ Intimate Apparel/Underwear of men’s or women’s product categories experience preferred.
+ Solid working knowledge of sewing techniques, stitch properties, and overall garment detail.
+ Knowledge of garment fit and ability to articulate fit change recommendations.
+ Working knowledge of a computerized pattern making system, Gerber Accumark a plus.
+ Good interpretive skills and visually literate.
+ Able to interpret design intent and create alternative solutions.
+ Excellent decision making and problem solving and follow-through skills required
+ Must be detail oriented with strong collaboration and communication skills.
+ Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
+ Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
+ Solid working knowledge of PLM system.
